Purpose of Job

The purpose of this job is to provide leadership training career coaching and internal workforce development coordination and have oversight of the Learning Management System (LMS). The Coordinator will develop and facilitate a comprehensive professional development experience fortraining and workforce development programs that are aligned with organizational needs. The Coordinator will develop and monitor program performance measures in collaboration with multiple internalACCGovpartners and will assistACCGovdepartments in assessing trainingneeds and strategies. The Coordinator will work to build relationships withACCGov departments to identify and strengthenthe internal talent pipeline for training and development opportunities.

Must work cooperatively with others.


When requirements include vehicle operation responsible for the safety readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACCs safe driving policy.

Minimum Training & Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

Bachelors degree required with four years of experience in coaching training or coordinating diverse teams required; or any equivalent combination of education training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this job.

Must possess a valid drivers license.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Essential Duties Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Analyzes training needs for various ACCGov departments and divisions; consults with stakeholders regarding customized systems configurations and develops related requests for proposals (RFPs) for systems/content acquisitions.


Performs system configurations installations and modifications for LMS systems integrations and training software.


Resolves LMS issues. Consults with outside technical engineers when performing troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.


Researches and writes assessment reports on software and systems and makes recommendations.


Makes recommendations for process improvements where LMS can automate current organizational workflows.


Creates learning content using evidence-based instructional design concepts for deployment through the LMS.


Documents processes and procedures and continually works to enhance user effectiveness and experience with the LMS.


Designs creates schedules and facilitates educational and engaging training and activities.


Trains system users demonstrate new systems and assists users with LMS-related issues.


Provides LMS support services to all departments by building strong relationships with internal and external community partners especially participating ACCGov Departments to identify needs and gather input on developing training and activities.


Conducts and develops organizational needs assessment and training asset inventory.


Coordinates and assists with identifying developing and tracking educational enhancement opportunities professional/skill development and required materials and facilitators/instructors.


Identify and map career pathways for positions in ACCGov and assist employees in navigating pathways by providing continuing education opportunities and career coaching.


Coordinates workforce programs including but not limited to providing internal support and consultation career development resources and on-the-job training.


Collaborates with Human Resources and ACCGov departments to identify and implement strategies to recruit and retain critical positions.


Coordinate events and outreach to inform employees of continuous learning opportunities including resources to obtain vocational certifications.


Assists Organizational Development Director in developing succession planning strategies and tools.


Attends training as assigned.


Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the principles practices and procedures of the operations and functions of the Unified Government and the operations and functions of the Organizational Development Department.


Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices adult learning practices and techniques and work methods.


Knowledge of training program development and needs assessment principles and techniques.


Knowledge of all applicable laws ordinances policies standards and regulations pertaining to the specific duties and responsibilities of the job.


Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Cloud computing.


Skill and experience in gathering information and presenting written materials reports and documents.


Ability to plan and organize events training educational activities and work projects.


Ability to train coordinate and provide feedback to people with diverse backgrounds and learning abilities.


Ability to effectively communicate at a very high level and interact with employees at all levels in the government.


Ability to collect data compile performance metrics and present measurable evaluative reports for Organizational Development Director review.


Ability to evaluate performance and provide positive feedback to encourage development.


Ability to create a positive work environment that encourages a high level of productivity teamwork creativity and a demonstration of ACCGov core values and leadership that promotes learning & professional growth.

(ADA) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIREDTO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including a computer printer calculator telephone copier video equipment and motor vehicle. Must be able to use body members to work move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: walking standing bending stooping pushing pulling lifting fingering grasping feeling seeing talking hearing and repetitive motions. Must be able to move around a training facility for extended periods. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of light work.


DATA CONCEPTION:Requires the ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable functional structural or compositional characteristics (whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards) of data people or things which may include various reports training bulletins and manuals.

INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION:Requires the ability to communicate at a very high level; the skill to present training programs to all employees regardless of their educational level and to motivate employees to apply the training information effectively on the job. Requires the ability to give/receive information and/or assignments.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:Requires the ability to read a variety of training manuals and materials management policies informational documentation directions instructions and methods and procedures. Requires the ability to prepare correspondence training reports assessments and materials using prescribed formats and conforming to all rules of punctuation grammar diction and style. Requires the ability to speak to people and/or before groups of people with poise voice control and confidence.


INTELLIGENCE:Requires the ability to learn and understand complex principles and techniques to acquire and be able to expound on knowledge of topics related to primary occupation and to make independent judgments in the absence of management.


VERBAL APTITUDE:Requires the ability to record and deliver information explain procedures and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in a variety of administrative technical or professional languages including motivation personnel accounting legal medical and marketing terminology.


NUMERICAL APTITUDE:Requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; add and subtract totals; multiply and divide; determine percentages; interpret graphs; and perform statistical calculations.


FORM/SPATIAL APTITUDE:Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length width and shape visually with visual aid and office equipment and tools.


MOTOR COORDINATION:Requires the ability to coordinate hands fingers and eyes accurately in using visual aids and office equipment and while facilitating training. Requires the ability to use the keyboard lift bend push and pull objects or materials using body parts as the position necessitates.


MANUAL DEXTERITY:Requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as a computer printer keyboard calculator telephone copier video equipment training aides and motor vehicle. Must have average levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.


COLOR DISCRIMINATION:Requires the ability to differentiate between colors and shades of colors.


INTERPERSONAL TEMPERAMENT:Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions which include the ability to deal with differences in a training environment and the ability to control a classroom setting so all class members have an opportunity to participate. Must be adaptable to performing under moderate stress when confronted with an emergency.
