THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a role where you can step up be trusted and make a real difference while being supported by a strong team around you.

Join us on Tutāmoe Farm as a Stock Manager you will work closely with a supportive Farm Manager in planning and executing farming operations and pasture management to optimise and improve operational processes and animal performance.

You will enjoy variety in your work as your days could include anything from livestock management managing Shepherd workloads and balancing feed budgets along with the responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely stock data records and reporting and managing farm data records in Farm IQ.

Your knowledge in growing young stock best practice animal health standards and feed budgeting will be highly valued.

Youll also have access to training and development so you can keep learning whether thats improving stock skills or using new technology that makes the job safer and easier.

THE FARM


Tutāmoe Station is a large sheep and beef farm on the East Coast around 40 minutes from Tolaga Bay. It covers about 1850 effective hectares and runs sheep beef cattle and young stock.

The land is classic hill country - varied challenging and rewarding. Good planning calm stock handling and teamwork really matter here. Horses are often used for stock work and safety is taken seriously.

Youll be part of a farm that values care for the land high animal welfare and a positive team culture. Its a place where people are supported to do their best work and where effort is recognised.

ABOUT YOU

This role will suit you if youve had experience in a similar role or solid experience as a shepherd where youve been trusted with responsibility and day-to-day decision-making.

Ideally you will also have:

  • A full team of working dogs

  • Proven experience self-managing your time

  • A current NZ drivers licence

  • An understanding of feed intakes and feed budgeting

  • Hands on experience with electronic farming tools and digital technology
