Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Security System Manager to join our Security Team on a permanent full-time basis.

The candidate should have experience across a wide range of security system and technologies (electronic and non-electronic) and a comprehensive understanding of security operations security design concepts and leading people.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive connected security system approach for our complex environment.
• Strengthen and lead high-performing control room operations and security technical team.
• Develop and maintain workplans timelines and reporting ensuring successful delivery of projects.
• Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation to achieve shared outcomes.

You will be a motivated team focused individual who can take the initiative thrive in complex environments provide excellent advice and create a high-performing team.

Key requirements:

• Proven experience in an enterprise scale security control system.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams and operations within a large institution or complex environment.
• Outstanding people and communication skills including the ability to adjust to differentaudiences.
• Strong project management skills within the security environment.
