Position Overview
We are looking for a Privacy professional with foundational experience to support privacy incident investigations to join the Exact Sciences Global Privacy Office to support the management and resolution of privacy incident investigations while supporting enterprise privacy initiatives. This individual will also be responsible for helping to create a privacy-focused culture educating stakeholders on why privacy matters and how we can ethically use data to build trust with our patients and consumers.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
- Conducts privacy incident investigations across domestic and international operations developing strategies and recommending mitigation measures.
- Executes privacy investigations following standard operating procedures and makes recommendations for improvements in procedures.
- Supports notification processes including distribution of notices and regulatory notifications.
- Monitors incident trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Creates comprehensive investigation reports within the privacy case management system.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to support privacy initiatives escalate critical risks and promote a privacy-first culture.
- Ability to apply a broad understanding of laws and regulations to privacy incident investigations including breach notification laws HIPAA FTC Act GDPR PIPEDA .
- Support the investigation and resolution of assigned domestic and international privacy incidents including executing an effective investigation strategy and recommending mitigation measures.
- Support implementation of mitigation steps per training or as directed.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Conducting research to gain an understanding of regulatory and privacy requirements and risks.
- Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating issues when critical risks arise and maintain pulse with project activities to ensure progress.
- Commitment to professional growth and understanding of the changing regulatory environment through current events reading continuing education self-study cross-functional training and work assignment variation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed global organization.
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability innovation integrity quality and teamwork.
- Appropriately prioritize work responsibilities and effectively manage fluctuating workload demands.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work designated schedule.
- Ability to work on a mobile device tablet or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the working time away from the work location may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a field related to essential duties; or Associates Degree and 2 years of relevant experience.; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience.
- 5 years of relevant job-related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate legal and regulatory environments.
- Experience managing multiple projects monitoring and reporting progress and adhering to deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- JD or Paralegal certificate.
- CIPP qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Navex experience.
- EPIC experience.

Salary Range:

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in PL - Warsaw on a full-time basis. This range reflects base salary only. The position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus under applicable company plans.
