About the role
Interested to join a strongly growing and dynamic international insurance company To reinforce its IT team Monument Belgium is looking for an IT Quality Assurance / Tester for its Liège this senior role as a Quality Assurance/Tester you are responsible for the implementation of the test governance and the quality assurance around IT delivery in projects and general software development. You will plan design and monitor the run of tests reporting bugs and working closely with the project managers & development team to ensure the quality of solutions.
Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to defining and shaping the quality assurance governance framework.
- Take ownership of implementing quality assurance within the development lifecycle.
- Guide and support business and IT teams in identifying and capturing quality assurance requirements.
- Lead the definition of test strategies and test plans for each project ensuring risks and priorities are jointly assessed with the PMs.
- Support project teams by providing guidance and defining testing activities and by controlling and validating their execution.
- Build and maintain a standardized test library and promote its adoption across project and maintenance activities.
- Drive the implementation of automated testing and establish a QA automation practice by selecting appropriate tools and integrating them into the CI/CD pipelines.
- Design plan and coordinate the execution of application tests including functional performance security integration regression and acceptance tests depending on project needs.
- Identify document and track bugs or anomalies detected during testing collaborating closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide regular quality assurance reporting to management and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Implement quality gates for release processes to ensure stable and reliable delivery.
- Maintain a continuous technological watch to stay current on new testing methodologies tools and emerging industry trends.
- Support IT Management in enhancing delivery execution and overall process efficiency.
Role Requirements
- Have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in autonomy and in a team communicate effectively and proactively resolve issues.
- Professional experience in quality assurance software testing or IT development.
- Mastery of bug testing and tracking tools.
- Skills in writing test scenarios and using automated testing tools (Selenium Appium Cucumber etc.).
- Knowledge of Agile methodology (Scrum) and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of common OO programming languages and development technologies (Java Python Delphi etc.).
- You are French-speaking with a good command of the other national language and you can work fluently in English.
