Monday: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM 12:00 PM
Thursday: 10:00 AM 6:00 PM
Position Summary
A healthcare facility in Newnan GA is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a contract assignment. The Medical Assistant will support both front-office and back-office clinical operations ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills including phlebotomy EKG testing and patient vital assessments along with experience in scheduling patient intake and electronic medical record documentation.
Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment
Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for provider visits
Take and record vital signs patient history and clinical information
Perform phlebotomy / venipuncture blood draws and point-of-care testing
Conduct EKG testing and assist with other clinical procedures
Administer vaccines and support clinical staff during examinations
Schedule appointments and manage patient communications via phone and electronic systems
Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Assist with both front desk and clinical tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations
Maintain exam rooms medical supplies and equipment in an organized and safe condition
Required Qualifications
Minimum 23 years of Medical Assistant experience
Experience with front-office and back-office clinical operations
Phlebotomy / venipuncture experience required
Experience performing EKG testing and Point-of-Care (POC) testing
Strong experience with patient scheduling rooming and vital sign assessment
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification through the American Heart Association
Strong communication patient care and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Experience in Occupational Health settings
