This contract on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality radiological care within a collaborative medical practice environment.
As a Locum Radiologist you will play a critical role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and accurate reports that contribute to effective treatment plans. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to excellence in medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Interpret medical images and provide accurate diagnostic reports
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss patient care and treatment options
- Perform radiological procedures as required
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and practices
- Participate in continuous education and training initiatives
- Provide consultations for complex cases and collaborate on treatment strategies
- Document findings and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Radiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
- Strong proficiency in interpreting various imaging modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Interventional Radiology Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Call: Weeknights and 24-hour Sunday call
Diagnostic Radiology Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-5p or 3p-11p) Monday-Sunday (11p-8a and 11p-7a) or Saturday-Sunday (7a-3p or 3p-11p)
Call: Weeknights and 24-hour Sunday call
Nuclear Radiology Schedule: Monday-Sunday 8a-5p
No call required
Setting: Onsite or remote
Cases: Light IR diagnostic or nuclear cases
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
