As a Medical Records Specialist you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy accessibility and security of patient records. You will assist in the organization and maintenance of medical documentation supporting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to our patients. This position offers a competitive salary range of $65000 - $88000 annually and the chance to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update patient medical records accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws
- Assist in the organization of patient files and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate information sharing
- Respond to inquiries regarding medical records and patient information
- Perform data entry tasks related to patient records
- Assist in preparing reports and maintaining statistics
- Support the implementation of electronic health record systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in health information management is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Prior experience in a medical or administrative role is a plus but not required
