Our client is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive new business acquisition and aggressively grow their cybersecurity footprint in the Western Cape. This is a pure hunter role focused on the full sales cycle from cold prospecting and discovery calls through to presenting tailored solutions facilitating demos and closing new enterprise deals.
You will be responsible for building regional presence developing executivelevel relationships and driving newlogo wins for cybersecurity offerings including solutions such as Arctic Wolf. This is a role for someone who thrives in competitive markets maintains momentum over long sales cycles and wants to play a strategic role in regional market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cold prospecting into enterprise organisations (users).
- Build and execute a Western Cape territory and pipeline plan.
- Run discovery sessions to identify security risks and gaps.
- Present cybersecurity solutions (including Arctic Wolf) to technical and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate demos with engineering support.
- Manage long sales cycles and multistakeholder engagements.
- Strengthen market presence through events networking and executive sessions.
Job Experience & Skills Required
Experience:
- 510 years in enterprise technology or cybersecurity sales.
- Strong hunter profile proven success winning new business.
- Experience selling cybersecurity SOC/MDR SIEM or enterprise SaaS solutions.
- Comfortable engaging CIO CISO IT Manager and CFOlevel clients.
- Track record managing 612 month sales cycles.
Technical Understanding:
- Solid grasp of cybersecurity concepts: SOC SIEM MDR ransomware defence.
- Ability to translate technical risks into business value.
- Knowledge of POPIA/ISO/NIST advantageous.
