AES Summer Internship Program

At AES we are looking for highly motivated students or recent graduates to join our team as Summer Interns.

As part of this internship youll work side by side with a host team gaining hands-on experience and learning the day-to-day ins and outs of the energy industry while contributing to meaningful projects.

Gain handson experience supporting PRC029 inverterbased resource (IBR) ridethrough assessments across AESs renewable portfolio. Assist with data analysis power system modeling in PSLF and PSSE and collaboration with development construction and operations teams.

SCADA Execution

Gain handson experience supporting the execution of SCADA systems across enterprise and sitelevel environments. Contribute to commissioning testing troubleshooting documentation and operational readiness activities for renewable power facilities.

Engineering Solutions & Standards

Gain handson experience supporting initiatives that enhance engineering processes documentation quality and collaboration across AES Clean Energy. Contribute to an Engineering Document Governance and SharePoint Design initiative dashboards and working groups.

Ideal for students studying engineering information systems computer science business analytics project management or related fields.

External Communications

Gain handson experience supporting strategic external communications for AESs U.S. renewable energy development portfolio. Contribute to thought leadership digital engagement market research media relations and content creation that position AES as a solutionfocused leader in utilityscale renewable development.

Ideal for students studying: communications public affairs marketing policy journalism or related disciplines.
What youll learn: How strategic communications support realworld renewable energy development and shape public narratives around the energy transition.
