Whats the Role

As a Prevention & Advice Coordinator youll be either part of Lewishams Family Thriveservice working at the heart of the Families First Contact Point or within theLewisham Family Hub Serviceas part of the Universal Offer for professionals. These unique roles bridges prevention planning with frontline triage ensuring families receive timely and appropriate support. Youll work closely with Family Help & Care and other partners to guide referrals share intelligence and coordinate responses when concerns fall below statutory thresholds.

Your insight will help professionals navigate safeguarding decisions while your knowledge of local services will ensure families are connected to the right support across the borough. Whether advising referrers promoting borough-wide services or strengthening multi-agency links your work will directly shape the lives of children and families in Lewisham.

This is a dynamic and influential role where your ability to negotiate advise and build relationships will be key to driving positive change.

What Were Looking For

Were seeking someone with:

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and prevention pathways
  • Experience working in multi-agency environments ideally within MASH or similar settings.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confident in delivering advice training and support to professionals.
  • A commitment to equality diversity and inclusive practice.

Location

The role within Family Thrive is primarily based in Laurence House Catford within the FFCP Service but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis or from our Family Hubs.

The role based within the Family Hubs will be based in the Family Hubs sites TBC

Salary

44 235 - 45 852 per annum (P01)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) which is subject to evidential proof.
