ROLE SUMMARY
In this role you will be pivotal in transforming Pfizers digital clinical supply chain systems by planning implementing and delivering technology and digital systems for Global Clinical Supply (GCS) colleagues and partners ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of investigational products globally. Your work will drive innovation streamline operations and optimize GCS systems to be customer-centric contributing to Pfizers industry leadership and mission to improve lives worldwide within a culture that values diversity and empowers positive change.
You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing strategies for process and technology integration that advance GCS business objectives. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of our clinical supply chain systems from initial concept to decommissioning ensuring all regulatory requirements are met and will identify and coordinate process improvements in alignment with those systems. By maximizing process and technology together you will deliver value to our customers changing the way they work and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Collaboration and leadership are key in this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams providing guidance and motivation to ensure seamless integration of supply chain systems with other business systems. You will manage relationships with partners and service providers. You will also oversee the definition and application of relevant metrics and will monitor improvements through those measurements presenting them regularly to senior management.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities:
Collaborating with Digital Product Managers and other key stakeholders to establish and execute a 3-to-5-year strategy for multiple products within your product area that aligns with and fulfills GCS and CD&O overall strategy
Oversight of the entire lifecycle of our clinical supply chain systems from initial concept to decommissioning
Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
Identifying and coordinating process improvements in alignment with those system launches or changes
Additional responsibilities include:
Budget management making cost-effective decisions regarding system upgrades maintenance and staff training
Expanding your business expertise across other GCS product areas to maximize effective technology delivery across our entire ecosystem
Staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in supply chain systems
Ensuring that all supply chain systems are secure and maintain data integrity
Contributing to the strategic planning and direction of the organization providing insights and recommendations based on your expertise in clinical supply chain systems
Prioritizing improvements to meet the most urgent needs of our customers
Representing your Product Area in cross-product and governance meetings
Ensuring controls are in place and monitoring risk to maintain quality and to support audits and inspections
This role is a highly visible critical position which requires a self-starter with strong leadership and influencing skills who can advocate mobilize support deeply understand GCS systems and design and implement process system and line improvements with urgency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
Applicants must have a bachelors degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR a masters degree with 7 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 5 years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience in clinical supply chain at least 4 of those in IRT/RTSM
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers to develop and coach others and to oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in product management business strategy or market research
Demonstrated experience establishing and monitoring metrics to guide and drive process and/or technology improvements
A deep understanding of supply chain processes and systems including planning procurement manufacturing and distribution
Experience in elicitation of business needs and constraints
Experience with assessing and selecting digital systems to meet defined business needs
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
