What you will be doing:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Service Manager to join the Trent 1000 Value Stream Team.

The Trent 1000 powers the Boeing 787. With over 400 aircraft in service and over 1bn invested in our Trent durability programmes we have a clearly defined product roadmap to drive a step change in Trent 1000 time-on-wing supported by major investment and growth in Trent 1000 MRO capacity to meet our fleet needs.

As the Product Service Manager you are accountable for the integration the overall fleet performance for the product to our customers which drives our aftermarket operational and financial plan as well as the long-term business plan goals.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will be the go-to lead and focal for all MRO operational issues in the global network requiring Value Stream support. You will also be capable of reading and interpreting machinery and plant drawings mechanical schematics maintenance manuals and parts catalogues to enable customer requirements to be met in addition you will:

  • Integrate the overall Trent 1000 fleet performance across the Trent 1000 value stream team Aftermarket Operations and Supply Chain teams.
  • Report out weekly on MRO Gate Performance with specific attention on Gate 2 (Kitting) and Outputs (Gate 4) highlighting hazards and opportunities to maximise flow and throughput.
  • Appropriately prioritise workload through a team of direct reports to ensure any programme related hazards are mitigated
  • Deliver the required levels of long-term fleet health and profitability through the coordination of key Engine Service Team led activity e.g. removal policies lease pool sizing identification and impact assessments of emerging product risks allocation policies based on business and operational requirements.
  • Set the Engine Service Team demand signal for maintenance event planning as part of the SIOP process. This includes Overhaul Base and In-Field events.
  • Own and manage fleet issues and containment / modification campaigns.
  • Working in conjunction with Aftermarket Operations on Readiness programmes for MRO expansion.
  • Deliver in-year and long-term Engine Service Team P&L and cash targets through optimised delivery of the operational plan and execution of the Product strategy.

  • Previous experience or knowledge of Services MRO or Operations within RR Civil.
  • Understanding of product time on wing drivers and fleet health.
  • Knowledge of RR MRO network and MRO practices and processes.
  • Understanding of RR customer network and regional teams
  • Understanding of SIOP (SORB) process.
  • Ability to connect the execution of the Trent 1000 operational plan with our financial performance / decision making with a focus on in-year P&L delivery.
