Job Summary

A prestigious US law firm is seeking a Hong Kong-qualified Associate to join its China corporate team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will work on high-profile transactions advising clients on Hong Kong IPOs regulatory matters and corporate governance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on Hong Kong IPOs including drafting prospectuses listing documents and other regulatory filings.
  • Conduct due diligence and manage transaction processes for issuers and underwriters.
  • Liaise with regulators such as the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).
  • Provide legal advice on compliance with Listing Rules Companies Ordinance and other applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-border teams on multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Support senior lawyers in client management and business development initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses 1-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Must be admitted to practice law in Hong Kong with experience at an international law firm or a top-tier local firm
  • Specialises in Hong Kong IPO transactions and related regulatory compliance
  • Strong understanding of HKEX Listing Rules SFC regulations and corporate finance transactions.
  • Excellent drafting analytical and communication skills.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese
