Compensation: $120000 $150000 base (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday Friday Standard Business Hours
HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned highly skilled Tax Manager to join one of our valued client partners. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this public accounting leadership role.
Position Overview
The Tax Manager will serve as a senior technical and client-facing leader within an established CPA firm environment. This role requires strong review capabilities advanced tax research expertise and the ability to independently manage complex tax engagements from planning through final delivery.
This position is suited for a licensed CPA who thrives in a structured in-office environment and demonstrates both technical depth and relationship management maturity.
Core Responsibilities

Review complex federal and multi-state tax returns (-S)

Conduct advanced tax research and develop strategic tax planning solutions

Provide advisory guidance to closely held businesses and high-net-worth clients
-
Manage multiple tax engagements while ensuring accuracy and compliance
-
Supervise review and mentor tax staff and seniors
-
Lead client communications and maintain long-term client relationships
-
Partner with firm leadership on complex tax strategies and planning initiatives
-
Ensure adherence to deadlines and regulatory requirements
-
Maintain documentation standards and technical accuracy across engagements
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
Candidates must meet all of the following to be considered for interview:

610 years of public accounting tax experience
-
Active CPA license (required)
-
Extensive experience reviewing individual corporate partnership and fiduciary returns
-
Strong federal and multi-state taxation expertise
-
Demonstrated experience in advanced tax research and planning
-
Experience working with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
-
Stable employment history with minimal job changes
-
Ability to work fully onsite in Lincolnshire IL
Candidates without an active CPA license or strong review experience across major return types will not be considered. Jumpy resumes will not be accepted.

Masters degree in Taxation
