Job Summary
Our Property Tax Manager will supervise and work closely with a team of property tax compliance professionals at the Senior Associate and Analyst levels who are responsible for the preparation and filing of state and local property tax returns reviewing assessment notices and procuring approving and processing property tax bills.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
As a Manager in Property Tax duties will include the following:
Initiate data requests (properties accounts assets) from clients and follow up
Set up maintain and oversee management of client data (Legal Entities Properties Accounts/Parcels Assets)
Review or assist in the review of client information for completeness and integrity
Supervise team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met
Assist with or have direct responsibility for the preparation and filing of property tax returns the gathering and reviewing of assessment notices and the procuring approving and processing of property tax bills
Manage and monitor team to maintain efficiencies and adherence to work plans established by upper management - ability to help the team Vice President coordinate and prioritize assignments and deadlines for team
Prepare or review the estimated property tax liability accruals of the client
Monitor the current laws trends and techniques relative to property tax compliance
Research and consult with clients and assessors on various property tax issues
Ability to maintain positive client relationships and ensure that all clients needs are met
Stay informed on property tax procedures by participating in training sessions and educational opportunities
Providing feedback on the Sr. Associates and Analysts team members to Team Vice President
Essential traits:
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers and clients
Working knowledge of personal computer and multiple software applications used in job functions including Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word
Ability to collaborate with leads and other teammembers
Demonstrate the ability to obtain technical expertise in the managed field
Experience in a Manager role
Ability to problem solve and make educated decisions
Bachelors degree in Accounting Business or related field ORa minimum of six years related work experience
Four to six years of Property Tax experience
