Heres what youll be up to

Were looking for an experienced leader to oversee the strategic delivery of Penriths capital works program. As the Head of Capital Projects you will manage a large multidisciplinary team and drive the design development and delivery of major infrastructure projects that directly benefit our community.

In this role you will:

Lead the endtoend management of complex multimilliondollar capital projects to time cost and quality expectations.
Oversee project governance contract management risk quality and financial performance across the department.
Oversee and manage the development and implementation of a complex pipeline of capital projects.
Champion design excellence innovation and best practice in project delivery.
Collaborate across the organisation and with external stakeholders working as one team to deliver highvalue outcomes for our City.

This is a permanent leadership role reporting to the Director Asset Services guiding key leaders including the Delivery Program Manager Project Lead and Project & Business Support Lead.

What are we looking for

Were seeking someone who brings:

Strong leadership skills and a passion for developing people.
Extensive experience in managing complex capital projects and navigating technical commercial and contractual matters.
The ability to develop manage and deliver a pipeline of complex projects.
A collaborative solutionsfocused mindset with the confidence to advise negotiate and influence at senior levels.
The ability to deliver highvalue community infrastructure while balancing risk timelines cost and stakeholder expectations.

The must-know bits

You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review to progress through the recruitment process.
