Head of Global Cyber Command Centres & Holistic Operations
Role Purpose
The Head of Global Cyber Command Centres & Holistic Operations is accountable for the strategic leadership and operational excellence of HSBCs three global Cyber Command Centres. This role will drive the transformation to a best-in-class fusion operating model integrating cyber technology and business continuity disciplines under the holistic incident management workstream. You will also own key relationships with Technology and BCIM stakeholders ensuring a unified proactive and resilient response to cyber threats and incidents.
What you will do
- Lead the design implementation and continuous improvement of a global fusion centre model.
- Maintain 24/7 situational awareness through advanced monitoring real-time analytics and automated alerting.
- Embed a preventative/predictive approach to reduce dwell time and improve response consistency via automation and orchestration.
- Champion threat intelligence to fuse internal/external data enabling proactive threat hunting and risk prioritisation.
- Operationalise and regularly test playbooks/runbooks for incident response crisis management and business continuity.
- Act as the executive interface with Technology BCIM and key stakeholders aligning priorities and resources.
- Lead cross-functional exercises and simulations; represent HSBC in relevant industry and regulatory engagements.
- Ensure operations align to HSBCs risk framework and standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
- Deliver executive reporting lead post-incident reviews and drive remediation and resilience improvements.
- Build and develop a diverse high-performing global team and strong succession pipelines.
What you will bring
- Significant director-level experience in cyber operations incident response or fusion centre leadership in a complex global environment.
- Proven delivery of operational excellence and transformation (e.g. moving from SOC to integrated fusion operations).
- Strong knowledge of cyber resilience business continuity and holistic incident management.
- Credible crisis leadership and stakeholder management including regulatory engagement.
- Strong technical acumen across security tooling threat intelligence automation and analytics.
- Certifications such as CISSP CISM CISA CBCP GIAC/SANS are highly desirable.
