About the Leadership Role

As Head of Science you will oversee the delivery of Science across Biology Chemistry and Physics ensuring high-quality teaching and consistent curriculum delivery throughout the department.

You will manage departmental planning support teaching staff and ensure students are effectively prepared for GCSE and A-Level examinations. The role involves both teaching responsibilities and leadership duties with a focus on maintaining high expectations and structured learning environments.

Key Leadership Responsibilities

  • Leading the Science department across KS3KS5

  • Managing curriculum planning and departmental schemes of work

  • Ensuring consistency in teaching and assessment standards

  • Managing departmental resources and equipment
