By combining clinical expertise and advanced business analytics it simplifies workers compensation claims management while providing safer medication therapy management.Position Summary:The Supervisor leads the Prior Authorization team overseeing experienced administrative operational and technical professionals within the Professional career track. This role manages the daily activities of Prior Authorization Representatives who research and respond to inquiries from clients pharmacies and injured workers.The Supervisor provides direction and guidance on policies procedures workflows service quality and training initiatives to ensure consistent and compliant operations. Responsible for monitoring service standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) this role drives team performance supports process improvement and ensures high-quality service delivery in a fast-paced transactional environment. As a first-line leader the Supervisor manages a large team of direct and indirect reports and fosters a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.Roles and Responsibilities:- Manage team of Prior Authorizations Representatives to promote a working team environment and ensure best practices are shared and executed. Works to develop employees skills evaluate performance and provide feedback. Oversees resolution of employee relations issues. Helps conduct hiring training and evaluation of staff. Ensures individual team and group goals are met.
- Engages in a coaching partnership with their team concerning quality reliability accountability and productivity. Responsible for achievement of service levels KPIs and performance guarantees.
- Responsible for record keeping for performance coaching and ongoing development of direct reports within the system of record.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert regarding systems processes and procedures.
- Works with the Prior Authorizations leadership team to help develop and deploy strategic business work plans. Tracks and reports result as required.
- Assists in the development of programs and process improvements to enhance the level of internal and external customer service provided.
- Serves as a point of escalation for issues and client interactions requiring a higher degree of expertise or direction to resolve in a timely manner.
- Works with other departments outside of the Prior Authorizations team to meet the needs of our employees clients and injured workers.
- Serves as a point of contact/leadership across other teams within the Prior Authorizations department when assistance is needed
- Special projects as needed.
Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree Healthcare Allied courses preferred
- 2 years of relevant operations experience; experience in a contact center environment preferred
- Knowledge of PBM / managed care industry required
- Workers Compensation/US Healthcare Pharmacy Work Comp PBM or related experience are an advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated leadership skills including ability to effectively develop and assist team members; experience training and coaching less experienced staff.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to handle challenging interactions in a professional manner
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others to resolve complex issue with innovative solutions
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule for coverage of Prior Authorizations department hours of operation
- Willing to work on site (Makati and/or Pasig City)
- Willing to work on shifting schedule (24/7 operation)
