About the Role
As a Music Teacher you will deliver inspiring and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential opportunities to teach A-Level Music depending on experience. Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching performance composition and music theory
Encouraging pupils to explore different musical genres and styles
Supporting pupils in developing instrumental and vocal performance skills
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Supporting extracurricular activities such as choirs ensembles and school concerts
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Music
Demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons
Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be enthusiastic about developing pupils confidence and musical ability
Be willing to contribute to the wider musical life of the school through performances and events
