CCLI is looking for a part-time Program Aide with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team you will share in the joy of providing care with dignity and life with hope.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany clients to various activities events stores or other places as required or applicable.
- Assist in arranging activities and/or services for client as directed by manager.
- Assist with client attendance leading activities and serving daily lunch meals.
- Monitor safety and wellbeing of client.
- Complete necessary documentation (e.g. attendance) and assist with special needs.
- Know and apply emergency procedures in the event of a crisis.
- Attend various onsite meetings as may be required.
- Must be able to assist seniors with a compassionate and caring manner at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some prior experience working with the general public preferably working seniors/elderly
- May be required to assist clients in wheelchairs.
- Remain alert to client needs and emergency situations.
- Remain caring and kind to clients at the center under all circumstances.
- Must have the ability to walk around the center and assist client who needs help
Schedule: Part-time 19 hours per week - 8:30-1:30 5 hours on Mondays 9-2 5 hours on Tuesdays and 9:30-1:30 4 hours Thursdays and Fridays.
Rate of Pay: $20 per hour
This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidates qualifications skills competencies experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation such as the value of benefits which may be applicable to this position.
