DTIis currently seeking motivated interns/externs to support our Service SupportSpecialists and partner agencies located in Dover Delaware and across KentCounty. Our IT support teams play a critical role in keeping state operationsrunning by delivering reliable technology services responsive customersupport and innovative solutions that empower government employees to serveDelawareans effectively.The IT team uses a servicefocused problemsolving approach centered on reliability communication and partnership with state agencies. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced IT professionals deepen their understanding of enterpriselevel technology environments and make a meaningful impact by supporting critical operations for state agency partners.
Thisinternship/externship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-onexperience in enterprise IT environments while working alongside technicalprofessionals who support key agencies. Diagnosetroubleshoot and document computerrelated incidents to support timely issueresolution.
Maintain an accurate and uptodate knowledge base to ensure consistentservice delivery.
Provide handson support for PC hardware peripheral devices and relatedequipment including installation and repair.
Assist with software support including basic application troubleshootinginstallations updates and user guidance.
Perform additional technical tasks and projectbased assignments as directedby IT leadership.
1. Currently attending a seniorin high school or enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program inInformation Technology Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Systemsor a related technical field.
2. Currently seeking internshiphours to fulfill degree or certification program requirements.
3. Seeking an externshipopportunity to apply academic knowledge in a real-world enterprise ITenvironment.
4. Proficient in MicrosoftOffice Suite and comfortable learning new software tools and ticketingsystems.
5. Organized detailorientedand able to take initiative with routine tasks and technical troubleshooting.
6. Ability to communicateclearly and professionally when assisting users with technical issues.
7. Ability to apply customerservice best practices such as active listening empathy and problemsolvingwhen supporting agency staff.
