Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District seeks a qualified Long-Term Substitute History Teacher (.75 FTE) to cover a leave of absence beginning April 27 2026 and continuing through the end of the school year for the following classes:
- Modern World History(Block 1)
- History of Popular Culture in the 20th Century(Block 2&4)
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community
- Plans lessons that meet the individual needs interests and abilities of the students
- Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior
- Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students with progress reports as needed
- Communicates with caregivers to discuss student progress
- Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school
- Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required Masters degree preferred from an accredited college or university
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the appropriate field by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement preferred
Experience Preferred:
- 3 years educational teaching environment preferred
- High School teaching experience preferred
Salary Range:
- Unlicensed candidate: $125/day (1-90 days)
- Licensed candidate: $125/day (1-30 days)
- Licensed candidate: $312.19/day - $734.44/day (30 days)
- Based on degree and licensed teaching experience
- The above daily rate will be prorated based on FTE
