Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee Lexima Lodging. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.

Lexima is seeking an experienced results driven leader to fill the critical role of General Manager at the Marriott Courtyard Charlotte Airport North.
The responsibilities of a General Manager include managing the daily hotel operations to achieve planned goals for operational integrity as measured by revenue house profit and RevPAR index while maintaining company standards for guest satisfaction colleague satisfaction quality assurance and asset protection. The General Manager will demonstrate leadership and professional image to colleagues guests sales accounts local community representatives vendors and competitors.
The General Manager is directly responsible for the success of the housekeeping front office and food and beverage departments of the property. A hands-on approach is necessary to effectively manage the quality of customer service and guest suite cleanliness. The General Manager also handles the purchasing and payroll submission for the property. The General Manager will also be involved in the interviewing and hiring of new colleagues as well as disciplinary measures.
Responsibilities
Represent the hotel in a professional knowledgeable and eloquent manner.
Dress appropriately in business attire at all times.
Ensure compliance with all Brand standards.
Ensure compliance with all Lexima standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Maintain an impeccably clean safe and inviting atmosphere inside and out.
Develop and execute both a short and long term operating plan to meet or exceed budgeted fiscal performance goals.
Attend monthly property review meeting to report on hotel performance.
Ensure an operating environment that will maximize guest satisfaction.
Meet or exceed customer service standards as measured by brand inspections brand survey reports and social media reviews. Respond to all reviews and initiate corrective action when necessary.
Establish a presence in the community through participation in local events associations and community service projects.
Ensure revenue maximization through daily coordination with the assigned brand revenue management support representative.
Perform sales duties or work closely with the Sales Manager to set and achieve local account and group business sales objectives.
Continually recruit train and monitor staff. Ensure proper staffing levels on each shift.
Create and maintain a pleasant safe and mutually respectful work environment. Continually interact with and motivate all staff members.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
A Bachelors Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business preferred.
Previous General Manager experience is preferred.
2-5 years as Assistant General Manager or other hotel management role required.
Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing spreadsheets and hotel management systems.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule as the hours for this management position will vary.
