What is the compensation

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour. Payment will be by direct deposit.

What will I do

• Deliver garbage containers.

• Handle customers.

• Check and separate loads as they come into dump sites.

• Deal with landscapers developers and contractors.

• Load roll off containers with loader as needed.

• Handle sales of compost.

• Operate vehicles as needed.

• Assist in cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.

• Assist other crew members as needed/directed and perform other related work as required.

What do I need to apply

• Any training or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the work.

• Physical strength and agility enough to perform the work.

• Ability to follow directions and communicate with the public in a courteous manner.

• Knowledge of the safe use of hand tools and equipment required by the position.

• Preference given to applicants with front loader experience and/or a commercial driver license.

What are the physical and environmental factors

This work requires exposure to adverse weather conditions and odors. This position will require bending stooping lifting up to 50 lbs and engaging with members of the public.

What are the hours and duration of the position

Monday through Thursday 6:00AM 4:00PM. From March - mid October

What is the selection process

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted with the first screening being held on March 20 2026. Applicants mustmeet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.

If selected for hire candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
