About the Team

About the Role

The Payroll Absence and Time Tracking (PATT) and Benefits Product Manager will deeply understand our users needs and engagement with our products and balance that knowledge with our services finance legal and privacy constraints. The product manager is encouraged to keep informed of industry trends and the technology landscape relevant to these product areas and leverage these inputs to define a product vision strategy and roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• You understand that consistent innovation is the result of each member of the team sharing their ideas. This role collaborates with our business partners product team designers and architects to discover the most impactful solutions and then work together to deliver those solutions.

• You are someone who can operate as a designer of both business process and technical requirements and a product manager to ensure implemented solutions deliver exciting experiences.

• You will be responsible for driving large cross-functional initiatives and implementations that enable us to create amazing experiences for our Workmates-to help us achieve our goal of accelerating Workdays business growth.

• While we empower our product teams to identify the best solutions to problems that need to be solved we also hold those teams accountable to the results. We look for product managers who are not afraid of signing up for results even when this means they have to work through others to achieve results.

• This job is an individual contributor role and often needs to take a data driven approach to influence without authority including colleagues business partners and key executives.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

• 10 years experience working on technology-powered products as a product manager product designer engineer data analyst data scientist or user researcher.

• 8 years demonstrated ability in collecting synthesizing and prioritizing user input from multiple sources (users leaders competitors market factors partners engineering management etc.).

• 5 years functional experience managing experiences in one or more of the following: Benefits Payroll Absence Time Tracking.

• 5 years experience within a team leadership role.

• 5 years experience with Workday product capabilities and industry standards for designing best in class experiences.

Other Qualifications:

• Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and product delivery techniques and methods.

• Strong ability to understand and interpret data to develop a hypothesis and define experiments to prove (or disprove).

• Ability to identify solutions to hard problems with many constraints assess risks and lay out your argument in a well-structured data-informed written narrative.

• Proven ability to learn multiple functional areas of business engineering design strategy etc.

• Proven track record of engaging with engineers architects designers and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.

• Open to 50% office reporting structure in our Pleasanton office.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus as well as annual refresh stock grants.
