Reports To: Director of Payroll
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts)

Were looking for a detail-oriented Payroll & HRIS Specialist who is passionate about leveraging technology and data to improve processes ensure compliance and support the employees who power our programs.
If you enjoy optimizing systems solving problems and ensuring payroll runs smoothly this could be the perfect opportunity for this role you will serve as a key partner in payroll operations and HR systems management helping ensure our data reporting and processes run efficiently and accurately.
What Youll Do:
Processing biweekly payroll accurately and on schedule
Managing and optimizing our HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now) to ensure data integrity functionality and efficiency
Auditing HRIS data and identifying discrepancies to maintain accurate employee records
Running HRIS reports and analytics to support leadership decision-making and workforce planning
Supporting payroll transactions including new hires terminations taxes garnishments and benefits deductions
Ensuring compliance with federal state and local payroll and wage laws
Assisting with year-end reporting including W-2s and ACA compliance
Supporting audits and reporting needs for grants leadership and external auditors
Maintaining accurate updates to the 403(b) retirement plan and employee records
Providing training and support to staff on HRIS self-service tools and processes
Recommending process improvements and system enhancements that increase efficiency and service
What You Bring:
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
35 years of payroll and HRIS experience including expertise with ADP Workforce Now
Knowledge of Rhode Island labor laws
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong Excel and data analysis skills preferred
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
