Job Summary

Your contribution to something big:

As a Lab Testing Technologies Engineer you will play a key role in advancing the development of next-generation residential heat pump systems. You will contribute to the implementation of standardized testing technologies and automation solutions across multiple laboratory locations supporting efficient and reliable product validation.

By working in a growing and cross-functional product development team in Aveiro you will help ensure high-quality testing processes that accelerate innovation and support successful product launches.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing automated evaluation methods and testing tools to improve testing efficiency and reliability.
  • Designing and implementing test automation solutions for standardized laboratory testing across different sites.
  • Developing and validating test bench interfaces for heat pump appliances and system components.
  • Performing functional and performance testing of heat pump systems and components.
  • Analyzing test data and operational performance of heat pump units.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation such as test reports procedures work instructions and best practices.
  • Supporting the improvement and maintenance of laboratory equipment and test infrastructure.
  • Contributing to the specification setup and commissioning of test rigs and laboratory facilities.
  • Monitoring the development status of laboratory equipment to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with requirements.
  • Supporting supplier communication and purchasing activities related to laboratory equipment.

 


Qualifications :

What distinguishes you: 

Education

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Computational Engineering Physics or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Experience working with laboratory technologies testing environments or test automation systems.
  • Previous experience in R&D laboratories or product testing environments is an advantage.

Know-how

  • Knowledge of automation concepts and testing specifications.
  • Experience with programming and engineering tools such as MATLAB Simulink Git or Jira.
  • Familiarity with test rigs data acquisition systems or automation interfaces is beneficial.

Languages

  • Good communication skills in English.

Working Style and Methods

  • Structured and analytical working approach.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple topics in a dynamic development environment.

Personality

  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional and international teams.
