ED has currently a vacancy for a Legal Counsel to offer his/her services at the companys premises in Marousi Athens. The Legal Counsel will provide expert legal advice and guidance to an array of corporate matters focusing on mitigating legal risks and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations across jurisdictions. S/he will advise on a wide range of legal matters including contracts corporate governance regulatory compliance litigation and may also represent the company in legal proceedings.
Key activities and responsibilities:
- Managing litigation matters and ideally representing the company in legal proceedings including coordinating with external counsels in different countries;
- Offering strategic legal counsel to senior management and other stakeholders on various legal issues;
- Ensuring the company adheres to all applicable laws and regulations including those related to finance employment and industry-specific requirements;
- Identifying and assessing legal risks associated with business decisions and developing strategies to mitigate those risks;
- Assisting in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures;
- Drafting reviewing and negotiating day-to-day contracts: employment agreements freelance contracts confidentiality agreements terms and conditions non-competition agreements NDAs DPAs;
- Drafting negotiation and performance of public procurement contracts ensuring they protect the companys interests;
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents pleadings to be submitted before courts drafting BoD and GA minutes etc.;
- Legal support in public procurement procedures;
- Assistance to operational teams in the day-to-day management of projects;
- Undertaking legal research into complicated areas and delivery of user-friendly advice to internal stakeholders;
- Identification of legislative and regulatory changes and recommendation of appropriate action conducting risk assessments;
- Supporting the implementation of GDPR requirements and provision of assistance in the management of relevant requests;
- Review of employees handbooks codes of conduct and other internal policies.
Requirements- University Degree in Law Member of a Bar Association in Greece;
- 7 years of experience as a lawyer;
- Solid litigation experience will be considered a plus;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English;
- Excellent command of the German and/or French language;
- Substantial MS office knowledge;
- Excellent technical analytical opinion drafting and written communication skills;
- LLM or experience in one or a combination of EU law public procurement law labour law and contract law will be considered an asset;
- Ability to work autonomously and independently and as a team player;
- Professional integrity efficiency organizational and creative spirit multitasking communication and negotiation skills fast learner with flexible attitude and able to work in a fast-paced international business environment team oriented personality.
