As part of our commitment to strong governance and continuous improvement were seeking an HSSE Audit & Assurance Advisor to support the delivery of our Australian HSSE Assurance and Improvement Program. This role provides meaningful opportunities to strengthen safety outcomes across diverse operations. This role can be based in Melbourne or Brisbane.

About the Role

In this role youll help plan deliver and improve HSSE audits and assurance activities across the business. Your work will provide clear evidencebased insights into compliance risk management and system performance.

You will conduct audits against legislative requirements selfinsurance conditions and HSSE management system standards (including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001) ensuring findings are objective consistent and actionable.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit & Assurance Delivery

• Support the Group HSSE Audit Program through planned audits and assurance reviews
• Conduct onsite inspections interviews and document reviews
• Validate evidence and assess compliance against HSSE legislation and standards
• Deliver highquality structured findings

Reporting & Action Management

• Prepare accurate clear audit reports and summaries for senior leaders
• Record outcomes and monitor corrective actions through HSSE systems
• Escalate critical findings or systemic issues in line with governance requirements

Compliance Support & Advisory

• Assist with internal and external audits including regulatory and insurer engagements
• Provide practical audit and assurance advice to HSSE teams and operational leaders
• Maintain uptodate knowledge of HSSE legislation standards and industry best practice

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend improvements to audit tools checklists and reporting processes
• Support ongoing enhancement of HSSE governance and assurance methodologies

What Youll Bring:

• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• High attention to detail and sound professional judgement
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn HSSE systems (e.g. TRAC)

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
• Internal or Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001)
• Experience conducting HSSE audits in operational or corporate environments
