About the Role

The Risk & Audit Officer assists in developing and coordinating risk management audit and assurance activities and initiatives across Ruah. Youll support our corporate governance framework accreditation and quality standards and help foster an organisationwide culture of improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development implementation and evaluation of Ruahs Risk Management Framework and program including strategic operational and project risk registers
  • Coordinating and assisting with internal audit and assurance activities including tracking actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring analysing and reporting quality and risk data to support leaders and governance forums
  • Contributing to policy development review and legislative and regulatory compliance activities
  • Supporting training and providing advice to stakeholders on risk and quality practices
  • Building strong relationships across Ruah and with external stakeholders to stay across emerging governance risk and quality requirements

This is a full-time permanent position.

What were looking for

Youre analytical collaborative and confident working with data stakeholders and governance requirements. You can demonstrate:

Essential

  • Knowledge of contemporary corporate governance frameworks and quality and risk management principles and practices
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills in audit and data analysis including the use of Microsoft 365 and relevant systems and tools
  • Ability to plan interpret and present information including writing clear reports and presenting findings to diverse audiences
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal communication skills including consultation and negotiation and the ability to build trusted working relationships at all levels
  • Experience applying change management approaches to support continuous improvement

Nice to have

  • Understanding of diversity and social inclusion including Aboriginal culture
  • Experience in community services health mental health or other human services sectors
