Job Description:
Were searching for a seasoned Technical Sales Engineer with a strong background in data center system infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proven expert in:
- Solution Design and Architecture: Develop robust and scalable data center system solutions.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Configuration: Prepare accurate and comprehensive BOM.
- Proof of Concept (POC) Execution: Planning building and delivering technical and technology demonstrations.
- Tender / RFP / RFI Responses: Lead and contribute to the technical validation & accuracy developing a tailored solution and strategy.
- Technical Enablement: Equipping customers with necessary technical knowledge tools and resources.
You will excel in a consultative pre-sales role adept at managing complex multi-stakeholder technical requests. This includes guiding clients from initial engagement through project closeout and offering continuous technical advisory for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:
This Pre-Sales role includes day-to-day duties in the following areas:
- Lead solution design and architecture on system infrastructure technologies products and solutions.
- Point of contact for all compute infrastructure technologies such as computing networking and central management and data
- Identify and analyze customer requirement in system infrastructure but not limited to virtualization server & storage solution even data protection and backup solution.
- Design a solution and proposal for bids or projects and develop detailed technical proposals architectural diagrams solution blueprints and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Deliver compelling technical presentations product demonstrations and solution workshops to diverse audiences.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle building strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
- Articulate clearly in complex technical concepts in an understandable and impactful manner both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Plan manage and execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) and technical evaluations to demonstrate solution capabilities and validate proposed architectures in client environments.
- Provide technical training and enablement to internal sales teams ensuring they are well-equipped to discuss and position system infrastructure solutions effectively.
- Continuously stay abreast of the latest industry trends emerging technologies (e.g. AI infrastructure edge computing advanced cybersecurity in infrastructure) and competitive offerings in the system infrastructure domain.
- Analyze market dynamics to identify new opportunities and position solutions strategically. Perform project assessment consultative services when meeting with prospects
- Liaise with vendors System Integrators and end users when prospecting for business opportunities includes product presentation & technical enablement
- Work seamlessly with sales account managers and product team to develop account strategies qualify opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Develop detailed technical proposals architectural diagrams solution blueprints and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with professional services and delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from presales engagement to solution implementation.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with product management engineering and support teams to ensure customer success and provide valuable feedback loops.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 5 years of deep domain knowledge is required including hands-on experience in designing configuring troubleshooting and supporting data center system infrastructure solutions.
- Extensive experience with enterprise server hardware (e.g. Dell EMC PowerEdge HPE ProLiant) server operating systems (Windows Server Red Hat Enterprise Linux Ubuntu etc.) and CPU architectures (Intel Xeon AMD EPYC Memory RAID Hard Disk Network Connections and etc).
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of various storage technologies including SAN (Storage Area Networks) NAS (Network Attached Storage) object storage block storage and related protocols (iSCSI Fibre Channel NFS SMB S3). Knowledge of leading vendors such as Dell EMC NetApp HPE and Hitachi is essential.
- In-depth experience with leading virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware vSphere Microsoft Hyper-V KVM) and strong understanding of hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions (e.g. Nutanix Sangfor VMware vSAN).
- Strong knowledge of major public cloud platforms (AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform) including IaaS PaaS and related services (compute instances storage services networking security).
- A solid knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and solutions is crucial specially cloud platform technologies such as Microsoft Azure/Azure Local SDN VMware vRA/vCD/vRO/NSX/Tanzu Nutanix RedHat Openshift Ansible and etc.
- In-depth experience with various backup solutions data protection strategies and disaster recovery planning.
- Understanding containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) including their benefits and use cases in modern infrastructure will be an added advantage.
- Equip with emerging AI infrastructure knowledge such as GPU server design for AI data lake concept high-throughput file system and storage network topologies containerization & orchestration.
- Related professional certification for system infrastructure will be an added advantage.
- Self-initiative proactiveness and multitasking and able to prioritize task under pressure.
- Strong technical consulting aptitude focusing on understanding business needs and driving sales outcomes.
- Strong and impactful presentation skills and able to articulate the technology and solution to various audiences.
- Receptive to working independently and support business growth.
- Good in problem solving and a fast learner.
- An individual with self-motivated positive attitude interpersonal and effective team player.
- Willingness to strive and obtain technical certification on identified focus products/solutions within the set timeframe to be agreed upon.
