Joliet Slammers Special Event Staff (Spring/Summer 2026)

Company Overview:

The Slammers are the professional baseball team in Joliet a part of the Frontier League a Partner

League of Major League Baseball that are dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for fans in the

city of Joliet and surrounding Chicagoland area. The right individual will be an integral part of the team to

promote the Slammers positive culture attitudes and experiences for fans of all ages across all platforms.

Position Summary / Objective:

This position will work directly with the Manager of Stadium Operations in planning and executing

events outside of Slammers games at Slammers Stadium.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Opening and closing for rentals at the Stadium

Being the point of contact for rentals and special events at the stadium on the day of the events

Making sure guidelines are being followed for the rentals

Running the scoreboard during select rentals

Being comfortable with announcing starting lineups or other PA related request

Effectively communicating with your supervisor to ensure events run as smoothly as possible

while providing the best experience for clients

Able to make smart and effective decisions on the spot if you are unable to reach your supervisor

Maintaining stadium presentation throughout the rentals

Stadium operations field maintenance and client relations

The ideal candidate:

Has excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact

comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization

Has excellent communication and presentation skills both written and oral

Is extremely coachable and eager to learn every day

Is able to work independently as well as a part of a team.

Has a good understanding of baseball scoring and rules

Is a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in sports

Must be able to work evenings holidays and weekends as required

Has reliable transportation to downtown Joliet
