ROMAN CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF ST. AUGUSTINE BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC SCHOOL IT COORDINATOR PART-TIME FLSA: Part-Time Non-Exempt Reports to: Principal Department: Information Technology
General Summary: Under the direction of the Principal provides support to the Catholic school by guiding coordinating and implementing the technology program of the school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Troubleshoots all electronic and technical programs.
- Implements and manages students iPad 1:1 environment including the administration of Mobile Device Management servers and the Web filter for safer browsing.
- Ensures software and hardware maintenance.
- Works with tech support as needed for Microsoft Teams and other school programs to figure out how to best help the teachers get things completed.
- Assists teachers how to use software; providing user access privileges and controls.
- Answers day-to-day questions related to IT.
- Provides training to teachers and students for all educational technology as required.
- Manages the schools Office 365 environment including the Exchange server as well as proper licensing and access control for the use of Microsoft apps and services.
- Informs teachers of new technologies or software which may assist in developing concepts of content-specific materials.
- Works with the school administration to develop and implement the schools technology plan.
- Acts as the principal point of contact with vendors who provide further support to school hardware and software or assist in training educators.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
- Advanced degree in Educational Technology or related field preferred.
- Prior experience working with iPads/Chromebooks and other mobile devices in education.
- Prior experience with a range of software hardware and operations systems (Windows Mac IOS).
- Proven record of accomplishment in technology planning and implementation in a K-12 academic setting.
- Ability and prior experience in integrating technology into a classroom setting and project management.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in the use of technology in schools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities working with professionalism and service-orientation at all times.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees clergy staff and the general public.
- Must be a self-starter; well organized; perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work with a sense of urgency.
- The ability to respect promote accommodate and not be in conflict with the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Must successfully pass the required criminal background check prior to employment and every five years; must complete Protecting Gods Children (PGC) workshop prior to employment.For the Background Screening Clearinghouse Education and Awareness website visit.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients vendors employees and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
