Education
- At least a masters degree preferably in educationalleadership
Qualifications
- At least five years of successful teaching experience at the high school level.
- Massachusetts licensure as a Vice-Principal/Principal 9 - 12 certification required
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- SEI Endorsement

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Instructional Leadership: In collaboration with the Principal the Vice-Principal of Teaching and Learning promotes outstanding teaching and learning by:
- Providing instructional leadership aligned with the Natick Public Schools vision and Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- Implementing high-quality curriculum and instruction that supports student achievement and growth.
- Coaching teachers on setting goals designing lessons analyzing student work working collaboratively and growing professionally
- Promoting a school culture of equity belonging and inclusion including racial equity LGBTQ inclusion and support for diverse learning needs.
- Supervising and evaluating a caseload of staff
- Designing and leading professional development
- Coaching the Leadership Team in consistent supervision and evaluation practices.
- Contributing to the successful implementation of Natick High Schools teacher induction and mentorship programs
- Assisting in the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan
- Other duties as assigned.
Assessment and Data Analysis: The Vice-Principal of Teaching and Learning uses data to facilitate building-level decision-making and planning including but not limited to:
- Using various technology suites to pull data and to create graphic representations of data
- Supporting other building leaders in analyzing the results of local state and national student assessment data to improve student performance
- Guiding staff in data collection processes that facilitate effective formative assessment and instructional adjustments
- Overseeing AP testing
- Overseeing STAR Renaissance testing in 9th and 10th grade
Supervision of Students: The Vice-Principal is a visible presence in the school building and supervises school events. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Enforcing appropriate student behavior at athletics events dances and other student events.
- Assisting in the coordination of various schoolwise events including but not limited to Open House Graduation and 9th Grade Orientation.
- Supervising breakfast lunch and/or morning or afternoon bus pickup.
- Overseeing student clubs and activities including managing the stipendiary budget for club advisors and ensuring compliance with state and local policies
Scheduling: The Vice-Principal oversees the development of the master schedule in coordination with the Guidance Department.
SKILLS:
- Proven leadership ability including the capacity to motivate others and foster professional growth.
- Excellent instructional skills that promote the growth of all students including multilingual learners and those with disabilities
- Strong technical skills and an aptitude for managing details.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions
- A track record of building and maintaining positive collaborative relationships with school officials educators support staff students and families.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skill leadership and interpersonal skills.

- Strong skills in various technology systems such as Google Workspace Microsoft Office and PowerSchool.
- Ability to make independent sound decisions in alignment with school goals district policies and procedures.

- Demonstrated flexibility and collaboration in responding effectively to changing needs and priorities.
- Bilingual skills particularly in Spanish and Portuguese are highly desirable.
