Job Summary
MAB Engineering Consultancy is seeking a highly experienced Fire & Life Safety Engineer to join our supervision team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing fire and life safety systems on major projects ensuring full compliance with local regulations international codes and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the installation testing and commissioning of fire protection and life safety systems on-site.
Review and approve contractor shop drawings material submittals and method statements related to fire and life safety systems.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NFPA SBC Civil Defense requirements and international best practices).
Conduct inspections and monitor construction activities related to fire protection systems including fire alarms sprinkler systems firefighting systems smoke control and emergency evacuation systems.
Coordinate with project teams contractors and authorities to ensure proper implementation of fire and life safety measures.
Review and verify testing and commissioning procedures and reports.
Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations to ensure safety and compliance.
Support project management in resolving technical issues related to fire and life safety systems.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 15 years of total professional experience in fire and life safety engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in GCC countries.
Minimum 3 years of experience with engineering consultancy firms in a supervision role.
Strong knowledge of NFPA standards Saudi Building Code (SBC) and Civil Defense regulations.
Proven experience in large-scale building projects.
Proven experience in Diriyah projects.
Excellent coordination reporting and communication skills.
