The Role

We are seeking a Student Services Assistant to join our friendly team in the Department of Rural Health. This front-facing role is the first point of contact for students staff and visitors making it central to our welcoming and supportive environment.

Youll be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality reception and customer service managing enquiries with warmth empathy and professionalism.
  • Providing general administrative support across the team including room bookings ordering supplies and room/resource coordination.
  • Assisting with events and meetings by coordinating catering cleaning and security and supporting agenda/minute preparation.
  • Supporting student accommodation processes including managing applications and records using StarRez and responding to placement-related enquiries.

This part-time position is contingent 3 days per week based on funding at a HEW4 Higher Education Level located at Coffs Harbour Campus.

About you

To succeed in this role youll bring:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polite can-do attitude.
  • Initiative and empathy with the ability to work independently and respond proactively to changing needs.
  • Solid organisational skills and attention to detail particularly when managing bookings emails or coordinating events.
  • Experience in administrative support ideally in a customer or student-focused environment.
