Job Summary:The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs moderately complex and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls emails and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Drafts and sends communications on supervisor/departmental staff behalf. Reconciles P-Card/Concur for other staff/faculty against departmental budget. Performs some simple budget monitoring/entry. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers copiers fax machines etc.

Additional Department Summary:Promoting the mission and vision of Student Involvement the Division of Student Life and the University the Administrative Assistant provides programmatic administrative and financial support for Student Involvement. As needed the position may assist with functions pertaining to Student Engagement initiatives of which Student Involvement is a stakeholder. The position serves as an initial point of contact for members and leaders of the over 650 registered student organizations at UA and for any students interested in getting involved on campus. The position is also responsible for completing required training and promoting a safe hospitable and respectful workplace.

Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative experience; OR associates degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:Associates degree and one (1) year of general office experience or a Bachelors degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel. Experience working with college students. Experience managing fiscal operations for an office or unit.
