What youll do
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join the team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Excutive Pastry Chef youll be supporting our all-day dining business offering breakfast lunch afternoon tea and other dining experiences:
- Using your skill and experience you will be crucial in ensuring our Pastry kitchen continues to excel in producing the most creative and innovative products
- Operating as an amazing team player both hands-on in the Pastry kitchen and supporting the Executive Pastry Chef in line managing the team and supporting the entire brigade
- Maintaining a can-do and problem-solving attitude you will be passionate about the highest possible standards and will have great eye for detail
- Interacting with our guests always warm professional helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way
- Bringing delicious creative and bespoke flavours and creations to our guests tables.
- Making sure our operation runs without hitch orders and deliveries are coming and going as needed our service is smooth and our food hygiene standards are sky-high.
Qualifications :
What we are looking for...
- One to two years experience as a Pastry Sous Chef preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel/restaurant.
- Ability to multitask work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
- Passion for Pastry is a given; youve worked hard to perfect your craft and you have a huge appetite to continue learning from the best in the business.
- Youre all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with leaving them with a memorable experience.
- You make people feel good - your team guests and colleagues alike.
- Organization and all over detail.
- Youre not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done.
- Youre up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
