Job Summary

As Sales Director the successful candidate will take on the following key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a unified commercial and sales strategy that drives market growth customer acquisition revenue expansion targeting key accounts high potential clients and emerging business opportunities.
  • Lead mentor and develop a team of sales professionals; set performance goals coach technical selling skills and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Define annual budget targets forecast revenue and ensure continuous achievement of sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers including major food manufacturers feed producers retailers and distributors.
  • Drive pricing strategy margin optimization and commercial policy governance in collaboration with operations and finance.
  • Conduct senior level presentations negotiate long term contracts and provide tailored testing solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Monitor industry trends regulatory changes and competitor activities to proactively adjust market and sales strategies.
  • Identify emerging opportunities within Food & Feed as well as adjacent markets.
  • Represent Eurofins in industry events conferences and professional associations to strengthen brand presence and thought leadership.
  • Partner closely with laboratory operations customer service and technical teams to ensure service excellence and aligned commercial execution.
  • Support Eurofins initiatives for quality sustainability and digital transformation (e.g. eLIMS adoption).
  • Track KPIs using CRM tools; prepare commercial performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with Eurofins ethical standards quality expectations and industry regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of national and regional key account programs within Eurofins.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree required; Science-related field preferred. MBA is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the Food & Feed sector; knowledge of other sectors is a plus.
  • Minimum 710 years of progressively responsible experience in sales ideally within laboratory testing services Food & Feed industry or related scientific/technical sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing sales teams (minimum 3 direct reports).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute commercial strategies integrating sales pricing and marketing.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue and margin targets.
  • Expertise in key account management strategic planning and consultative selling.
  • Excellent negotiation communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in Greek and English.
