Senior Databricks Engineer (Athens, Greece)

In this role you will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients during the conception planning and implementation of Databricks-based data & AI solutions. Based in our consulting hub in Athens you will take ownership of technical direction within your project teams driving the high quality and reliability we are known for.

Your tasks will include:

• Leading the analysis of complex requirements and architecting tailored scalable Databricks solutions
• Designing building and optimizing advanced data pipelines using Spark Delta Lake and Databricks-native tooling
• Taking technical ownership across project areas including cloud engineering infrastructure advanced analytics and generative AI applications
• Communicating results architectural decisions and strategic insights clearly to senior stakeholders and executive management
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members contributing to their technical development and growth
• Occasionally traveling to Switzerland and Germany to meet clients and collaborate with our teams in Zurich and Munich

What you bring:

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and the broader Spark ecosystem
• Proven experience with Delta Lake Databricks SQL MLflow Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows in production environments
• Extensive experience working with large-scale data sets streaming data architectures and complex database environments
• Strong proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g. SQL Python PySpark Scala)
• Solid experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure AWS or GCP
• Several years of consulting or client-facing experience with a track record of delivering measurable business value
• A pragmatic result-oriented mindset with the confidence to make and defend technical decisions
• Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to engage credibly at all levels of an organization
