A Traffic Supervisormanages the safe efficient flow of vehicles and pedestrians overseeing staff traffic control devices (signs signals markings) and implementing traffic plans. Key duties include monitoring traffic patterns responding to incidents ensuring compliance with regulations and coordinating with law enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:Supervises the installation and maintenance of traffic signs markings and signals.
Traffic Management:Analyzes traffic data to minimize congestion and ensures compliance with safety regulations and laws.
Personnel Management:Hires trains schedules and disciplines traffic personnel.
Incident Response:Manages traffic during emergencies incidents or construction projects.
Administration:Prepares reports manages budgets and resolves complaints regarding parking or traffic violations.

Qualifications and Skills

Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent is typically required; a Bachelors degree in transportation management or related field is often preferred. Experience in traffic management logistics or a supervisory role is essential.
