This role will report to the Senior Tax Manager.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The Group Tax Departments mission is to improve the Groups tax efficiency defend its interests and ensure compliance with tax close collaboration with other departments operating in the area (particularly Treasury Consolidation and Global Functions Support) the International Tax Manager monitors the tax burden and cash taxes and proposes plans to improve the Groups tax efficiency.

• You take care of our tax compliance and tax reporting as per internal and external reporting requirements
• You review and analyse the effective tax rate and cash tax at each closing budget and forecast (anticipate identify and monitor operations)
• You analyse taxable bases local issues and search for avenues for improvement in conjunction with local teams and Consolidation at headquarters
• You assist any subsidiary within your global scope on tax issues following tax rules and their developments
• You analyse tax inefficiencies and provide solutions
• You supervise and manage tax audits and tax risks
• You investigate the impact of (inter)national tax legislation: design maintain and manage a framework of controls as well as tax structuring for current and new business activities
• You continuously improve the tax reporting processes and build tax controls and ensure adherence to our (transfer pricing) policies
• You lead the local finance organizations on tax-related matters
• You review risks and opportunities when youre analysing our tax numbers
• You develop manuals and guidelines that are user friendly and understandable to a larger audience
• Build and maintain relationships with external advisors tax authorities and internal stakeholders

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change step up and show whats next people with passion can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and practice this means:

• Minimum 5 years of experience within international direct taxation at Big4 international law firm or at a multinational organisation; pursued graduation from university (Tax Law or Tax Economics)
• Professional proficiency of English is required. Proficiency in Dutch or any other European language is a plus
• Expert in Excel
• Knowledge of the payments eCommerce or FinTech industry is a plus
• Can do mentality resilient and known for getting things done
• Ability to work cross-functionally (and internationally) for the greater good of the company
