Role description:
- Manage/lead project teams in the collection and analysis of data and development of design solutions along with documentation of the findings in a format required by the client.
- Guide the development of successful client outcomes through service excellence across multiple capability areas aligned to Arcadis values.
- Cultivate insights and solutions and innovate our service offering with clients and within Arcadis.
- Supports community / Non-project initiative that positively impact our ability to retain and attract top talent.
Role accountabilities:
- Leads and delivers simple to complex workstreams and projects. Management of design program and project resource planning. Achieves project objectives and stretch objectives as defined for each project via project appraisals.
- Project Planning - Oversee an agreed scope of work and the operational workload of a project team including subcontractors ensuring work is allocated appropriately and resources are fully utilized. Support to implementation of SOPs through project delivery.
- Project Delivery - Work Collaboratively with other sectors/disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution and to resolve complex technical issues including cross-sector resource collaboration.
- Project Development - Develop and maintain a good understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis of the clients business and the industry sector to facilitate personal networking and to consolidate personal and company credibility in the industry.
- Quality - Review work carried out by colleagues. Oversee and manage the production of and quality control project deliverables to ensure that these meet or exceed client expectations and Arcadis requirements and comply with national standards and codes of practice.
- Team Performance - Support for team building recruitment and development opportunities. Manage the performance of team resolution of any issues as part of overall project objectives. Overview of team PDP objectives and team development.
- Team Development - Lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members to support them in their delivery of the project and in their professional development.
- New Business - Identify opportunities for Arcadis process improvements that improve quality and/or improve efficiency. Develop and review proposal submissions to contribute to the preparation of high-quality winning bids. Promotion of sector design capability across the business.
- Line Management - Help communicate and implement organizational goals; manage evaluate and support direct reports performance and development; provide feedback opportunities for team members; direct workflow by assigning tasks to ensure the objectives of the business projects and team; review and improve individual and team capabilities; be involved in hiring and onboarding new employees.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Registered Architect or a Licensed Interior Designer with demonstrable experience on wide range of complex projects at different stages.
- Minimum 10 years experience architecture design with 3 years Interior Design experience and 3 years in Healthcare.
- You understand the design process and ability to deliver this from concept into detail design and understand how to identify and design key details and onto to project completion.
- Able to manage both Architecture and Interior Design projects independently as per required scope determined by Project Lead.
- Understanding detail for compliance requirements e.g. building regulations and working knowledge of Regions Building Systems Regulations and construction types will be required for this role. Experienced in UK Canada and USA projects is an advantage.
- Highly computer literate skilled in Revit (intermediate) BIM AutoCAD and SketchUp Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications (Indesign Photoshop).
- You have excellent presentational and communicational skills both verbally to liaise with other disciplines/ team members but also visually using software or hand drawing skills.
- Relevant technical experience on local and international projects is an advantage.
- Knowledgeable with International Building Code (IBC) UK / USA / Canada Building Regulations.
