Automation Test Lead (Katalon, Malaysia On-site)

• Oversee the day-to-day operations provide status updates manage resource allocation effectively following a staffing plan connect with ITPMs independently and clients stakeholder interaction for the Squad(s). 
• Coordinate with related departments/stakeholders to unblock blockers (accounts access)
• Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements provide project updates and address any testing-related issues or concerns.
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability.
• Perform thorough analysis of product specifications to create comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the test automation team sharing best practices and knowledge.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to verify the functionality performance and security of software applications.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results identifying defects and areas for improvement.
• Take ownership of the test automation process continually optimizing and enhancing automated testing practices.

Qualifications :

General requirements:

• Willingness and ability to travel to Malaysia frequently for on-site work and client engagements
• Fluent in English have experience in working directly with global clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact directly with clients and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Technical requirements:

• Having 8 years of professional experience in test automation. Experience with mobile automation testing is a must-have
• Have 1 year of experience in Katalon Studio
• Proven expertise in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks
• Strong programming skills (Groovy Java Python)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Having experience/knowledge of Banking industry is a plus
• Relevant certifications (e.g. ISTQB Selenium) are a bonus.
