As we scale globally we are building a centralized Shared Services Sales function to support multiple product lines improve sales operations and accelerate market expansion.
The Sales Leader – Shared Services will establish and lead a centralized sales support function that works across multiple product verticals at Smart Ship Hub. This role will drive sales enablement inside sales lead generation CRM discipline proposal management and commercial coordination to support the global sales teams.
The ideal candidate will combine sales operations expertise team leadership and commercial acumen with the ability to build scalable sales processes in a fast-growing startup environment.
1. Build and Lead the Shared Sales Services Function
Establish and manage a centralized sales support team serving multiple SSH product lines.
Define processes for inside sales lead qualification proposal support CRM management and sales analytics.
Build a high-performance team including SDRs sales coordinators and proposal specialists.
2. Sales Enablement
Develop sales playbooks pitch decks and standardized proposal templates.
Support sales teams with product positioning value propositions and commercial documentation.
Ensure consistent messaging and positioning across global markets.
3. Lead Generation & Inside Sales
Drive structured outbound campaigns targeting ship owners operators shipyards and maritime service providers.
Oversee lead qualification pipeline development and handover to field sales teams.
Work closely with marketing on digital campaigns and inbound leads.
4. Proposal & Commercial Management
Lead preparation of technical and commercial proposals tenders and RFP responses.
Coordinate with product engineering and finance teams for pricing and solution architecture.
Ensure fast turnaround and high-quality submissions.
5. Sales Operations & CRM Discipline
Own CRM processes data quality and pipeline visibility.
Track sales performance funnel metrics and conversion rates.
Provide insights and reporting to leadership on sales effectiveness.
6. Global Sales Support
Provide structured support to regional sales teams across India APAC Middle East and Europe.
Improve coordination between product teams sales teams and customer success.
7. Process & Scale
Build scalable systems and processes suitable for a Series A–D style scaling company.
Introduce automation tools and AI-driven sales support where applicable.
10–15 years of experience in B2B technology or industrial solution sales.
Proven experience in sales operations inside sales leadership or shared services sales environments.
Experience building and scaling sales support or commercial operations teams.
Strong expertise in CRM platforms (Salesforce/HubSpot or similar).
Experience in maritime industrial IoT SaaS or deep-tech sectors is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication proposal writing and stakeholder management skills.
Exposure to maritime technology ship operations or shipping industry customers.
Experience working in startup or scale-up environments (Series A–D).
Experience managing global sales support teams.
