About the Team:

This position is at VU English (VUE) Victoria Universitys English language centre. VUE delivers a range of English language programs (EAP General English Study Tours) to international students that are designed to help improve their language and academic skills so they can transition into a VU university course.

About the Role:

This role reports to Manager VU English and will be primarily based on VU City Tower campus.

Position Key Duties

• Delivering high-quality education to students from a range of linguistic backgrounds.
• Delivering onsite with the possibility of remote delivery if the centre requires it.
• Contribute to the development of learning and assessment resources.
• Monitor evaluate and assess student English language progression and successful course completion

Salary:sessional teaching rate is $98.34 per hour and sessional non-teaching rate is $63.29 per hour

Hours:8-20 per week

Location: City Tower Campus

About You:

• A Bachelors Degree
• An approved TESOL qualification (CELTA/ Graduate Diploma or Master in Education: TESOL)
• Demonstrated knowledge/experience of teaching EAP and/or General English.
• A flexible approach to teaching that utilises effective teaching methodologies
• A current Working with Children Check or VIT registration
• A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) with required upskill units: TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A OR TAEASS502B- Design and Develop Assessment Tools TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A-Address Adult LLN Skills Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)

The University is a Child Safe willbe requiredto hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior tocommencingemployment.
