About the role
Weare seeking an Education Support Officer to work within the ElectricalTradessection based at TAFEOnlineStrathfield Campusandsupport learners studying Electrical Trade is a permanent part time role andrequires attendance on campus at Strathfield.
We are alsoestablishinga Talent Pool (valid for 18 months) to support future temporary and permanent opportunities as they arise. If you would like to be considered for the talent pool we strongly encourage you to apply.
In thisrole you will work closely to supplement the teaching activities by providing follow-up instruction as provided by a teacher and opportunities to practice skills to enhance the educative experience and engagement.
Note:This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training nor undertake assessment.
About You
To be successful in this role you musthave
Appropriate subject knowledgeskillsand vocational qualifications(Certificate II or above in Electrical Trade (preferred) or other allied trades) and a commitment tomaintaintechnical currency.
Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
High-level interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
Ability toestablisheffective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
