JOB PURPOSE: The Tier 1 App Support role is an entry-level role providing support for Enterprise Freight applications. CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Triage support requests and issues from users.
- Define application problem(s)/issues(s) by solving for problems within the system and not symptoms of a situation.
- Perform basic troubleshooting assessments to reproduce issues and work effectively to the root cause.
- Review logs for any indication of system errors.
- Create JIRA card for the product team to prioritize for the developer.
- Report defects to system developers with specific criteria used to reproduce the defect.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Associates Degree in Computer Science or similar field
- Familiar with concepts of ticket management systems (JIRA< Pivotal Kanban MS TFS)
- Advanced problem solving/troubleshooting skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with a mainstream development language C# JAVA etc.
- Basic code troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Proficient with Git source code repositories
